It is with heavy heart that we inform you that John Pickett’s wife Valerie has passed away. Following a short illness, she died at home on the 18^th July, in the company of John and her family.

It is impossible to underestimate what JP has done for our club over many years, and he would not have been in a position to do so without the support of his wonderful wife, who put up with many hours of absence on club business. She was always there to support the club on fund raisers, her friendly face and kindly demeanour lighting up the room. She will be sorely missed, but will remain in our hearts as part of our hockey family.
